The Women's Café Project is an individual and group program that operates to assist women to esablish their personal status within the family and in the labor market, through personal empowerment and the development of economic independence.
The program is geared towards women between the ages of 25 and 50 from a low socio-economic background and for the most part, women who have an elementary-high school education, women who do not work, or women who would like to upgrade their occupational status. During the program, each participant constructs the development track that suits her according to her capacities, talents, personal priorities, and additional considerations that are at the foundation of her selection of an occupational direction.
Contemporaneously, the participants will acquire tools to cope with family crisis situations and reinforce parental authority.
Additionally, the women will enjoy the social gatherings which will assist them in group bonding during the program.
The program is overseen by a certified group moderator who is experienced in guiding women, and a Program Coordinator, Organizational and Marketing Consultant, who will help in the placement processes in dealings with employing entities.
Program Objectives
- Reinforcing the woman's self-image and her sense of being capable of integrating in the employment market:
- Providing support with difficulties that accompany the process of changing one's place of employment.
- Providing experience and training and teaching the participant skills required in the search for employment.
- Networking and intermediating between the program participatns and potential employers.
- Leisure and enriching the womens' cultural and social world.
The Program Includes:
- Work placement – preparing women for the the process of finding a position or internship while simultaneously marketing the program to employers in the attempt to find places of employment or internship for women.
- Personal accompaniment – individual meetings for each participant which are geared towards constructing a personal program as well as providing support and assistance in fulfilling the program's targets. The meetings will be updated once a month by the personal chaperones.
- Parents' and children's workshops – the women will undergo workshops in parental subjects such as: parent-child communication, parenting in crisis situations, etc. These workshops aim to evoke and reinforce the parental instinct which exists in every person.
- Bridging the digital gap – training women, each one according to her own level of knowledge, in computer and internet skills in order to enable them to expand the range of positions in which they may integrate in the labor market.
- Women's café – the program will include several break meetings, meetings in a warm and informal atmosphere which aim to provide women with group support, respite, and quality time to reflect on different areas of interest such as: a theater play, show, etc.
- Final Project – Contribution to the Community Project, according to the women's choice, to be conducted in their local community.
